We are experiencing a high volume of order processing so we apologize for any delay in response time and for any fruit or veggie shortages with add-ons this week and in coming weeks.
Our customers’ health is our #1 priority during this tough time. We have and will continue to take proactive, preventative measures to protect against exposure guided by science-backed information and official guidance from the CDC, State Department, and local authorities.
According to the CDC, while there is currently no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 through food, the most important thing we can do is re-emphasize proper hygiene and sanitation protocols in line with our existing practices that prioritize food and employee safety which include constant hand washing , wearing of new gloves every time we handle produce, not working with any symptoms of illness or for a quarentine period after, wipe-downs of work surfaces, and ensuring safety in our entire supply chain.
The biggest change we have had to make is that currently we are not using re-using any boxes.
Although this is not our first choice for the environmental impact, it is absolutely necessary for the health of the community. Please do not return your empty boxes to us at this time. Because of this, we have had to temporarily raise all box prices $1 to help offset the cost of using new packaging with every delivery. We plan to go back down to our original prices as soon as we can.
